When you ask someone to “fix the wall,” you may be thinking of the entire finished surface. The person reviewing the job may be considering the damaged drywall first. Clarifying the finish at the beginning helps both sides discuss the same work.
For a small wall repair, separate your request into the repair itself, the surrounding texture and the painted finish. Here is how to describe each part when contacting ALEXKO LLC.
The damaged section
Start by showing the area that needs attention. Send one close-up and one wider photo, along with an approximate measurement. Tell us whether there are several spots and whether the damage is beside trim, a window or a fixture.
Mention what you know about the cause. An opening left after an installation, an impact and an area that has become damp are different situations to review. If there is dampness or ongoing staining, include that information before discussing a cosmetic finish.
The surface around the patch
Look at an undamaged part of the wall. Is it smooth, or does it have a visible texture? Include a photo of that surface so we can discuss the finish you want.
Our drywall repair service includes small patches and damaged sections, with texture matching where practical. The existing surface can affect how closely a repaired area blends in. This is something to discuss for the actual wall rather than assume from the size of the hole alone.
Paint-ready versus painted
A paint-ready repair and a completed painted wall are different requests. Say whether you want to arrange painting separately or include it in the same agreed scope.
If you want painting included, explain whether you are requesting a local touch-up or painting a larger area. Share the original paint label if you have it, and tell us whether leftover paint is available. The extent of painting and the desired appearance should be discussed before scheduling.
For a project that also involves refreshing the room, review our interior painting information and list all the surfaces you want considered.
Timing and room access
The size of a patch does not explain every scheduling detail. Drying time and the proposed finish can affect when painting is possible. Ask what timing is expected for your repair and whether another visit may be needed.
Let us know if the room is occupied, whether furniture is beside the wall and whether access is limited to particular hours. These details help define the work before a date is agreed.
Put the finish in the description
Instead of writing only “repair drywall,” try describing the outcome: “Repair the damaged section, discuss matching the existing texture, and include painting in the estimate.” If you only need a paint-ready surface, say that instead.
You can see a real wall and ceiling repair followed by painting in our portfolio. The photos illustrate a completed project; your own scope will be reviewed individually.
